Effective Preschool Holiday Activities
Valentine Activities For Preschool

The preschool valentine activities will provide the children with creative, colorful and enjoyable activities. The children will develop their fine motor -, and eye-hand-co-ordination skills.

Activity 1: Creating Fun Valentine Cards:

The simple card making activity will provide the preschool children with fun, creative activities, as well as stimulating their perceptual skills.

Materials Needed for the Activity:

  1. Pink and Red Cardboard Paper.
  2. Heart Shaped Stencils. (One big and one small.)
  3. Pencils.
  4. Scissors and Clear Glue.
  5. Red Glitter or Pink Sequins.
  6. Black Marker Pen.
  7. valentine's-day

Procedure:

  • The children should use the big heart shape templates and trace them onto the red cardboard paper. Cut it out.
  • Next, the children should trace, and cut out the small heart shape, using the pink cardboard paper. Cut it out.


  • The children can glue the smaller heart shape onto the bigger heart shape.
  • The can trace a message on the back of their heart shaped cards.
  • The children can then decorate the cards, using their glitter or sequined.


Activity 2: Create Colorful Bouquets:

Red flowers are very much part of Valentine Celebrations, and the preschool children will love creating their very own Valentine Bouquets! This is a lovely group activity forthe children! Presenting the bouquets, forms a very enjoyable part of the activity!

Materials Needed for the Activity:
  1. Empty Tin Cans, Cleaned.
  2. Variety of Beautiful Red Flowers.
  3. Strips of Red Colored Crinkle Paper.
  4. it's-valentine's-day

Procedure:
  • The children will clean and scrub the tin cans.
  • Fill the cans with water.


  • Place the flowers in the cans with water, and create beautiful arrangements.
  • Add a final touch, and tie a bow from the strips of red crinkle paper around the tins.


Activity 3: Creating Felt Heart Pins:

Another very enjoyable, yet simple valentine activity, for all the preschool children to enjoy!

Materials Needed for the Activity:

  1. Red and Pink Felt Squares.
  2. Scissors and Clear Glue.
  3. Black Marker Pens.
  4. A Safety Pin.
  5. Glitter or Sequins for Decoration.
  6. Cardboard Paper (To add strength to the felt material.)

Procedure:
  • The children should first trace a heart shape, using the bigger heart template, onto the red felt material. Cut out the red heart shape.
  • Once again it will be a good idea to strengthen the felt material, and paste it onto cardboard.


  • Use the smaller heart template for the pink felt square. Trace and cut out.
  • Decorate the pink small heart with the glitter and sequins, using the clear glue to stick it onto the heart shape.
  • Turn the heart pin around and glue a safety pin to the back, placing it in the center of the pin.
  • A heart pin is a lovely valentine gift or could be an accessory worn on the day! Enjoy!
