The children love a fairy tale story. It captures their attention and provides a valuable opportunity for the teacher to introduce language skills such as teaching opposites, and the appreciation for books.

Their imaginations will be stimulated, as well as their confidence will be developed, during the role play of characters.

The children will learn through stories, and fairy talesenhance their lives.

They should develop a love for books at an early age.

The children will develop language skills during the activities, as well as their listening skills, and their confidence will be stimulated when "play acting" the fairy tale.

Materials:

  1. Fairy Tale Story Book with Colorful Pictures.
  2. Objects for Dramatization.
  3. animal-opposites
  4. playground-opposites
Procedure:

  • The children will listen attentively to the reading of the fairy tale by the teacher.
  • The teacher will highlight the valuable lessons derived from the fairy tales, for example, not to be selfish, to share with others, to be obedient, and so on.


  • The teacher will complete an auditory worksheet with them, enhancing their language skills, following the reading of the fairy tale.
  • The children will be asked to dramatize the fairy tale. They should be given robes, objects and roles to play. The children will love the informal dramatization of the fairy tale.
