Preschool Learning Activity:

The preschool learning activity will develop the children's auditory skills. Auditory stimulation forms a very important part of the preschool child's preparation for school readiness. The children will expand their vocabulary and language usage, and learn how to do things and be more careful and aware.
Materials:
- Colorful pictures selected for the activity, by the teacher.

Procedure:
- The children will observe the picture the teacher shows them and answer the questions that follows. The first picture indicates the inside of a bedroom.
The children should listen attentively to the instruction, and answer true or false. They should motivate their answer. - It is safe to sleep with a burning candle next to my bed. True / False.
- It is safe to sleep with a pillow over my head. True / False.
- It is safe to swing on my bedroom chandelier. True / False.
- It is safe to stick my fingers into a wall plug. True / False.
The next picture will indicate a kitchen. The children should answer true or false, and motivate their answers. - It is safe to drink from bottles of household cleaners. True / False.
- It is safe to put my hand on a warm plate. True / False.
- It is safe to touch the kettle when boiling. True / False.
- It is safe to play with sharp knifes. True / False.
- The next picture will indicate a bathroom.

The teacher will give the children opportunities to describe certain situations at home, for instance, how to safely, take a bath: which tap to turn on first, how to boil a kettle, and how to use a knife safely.
