Preschool Classroom Guidance Activity:

In the preschool classroom guidance activity the children will teach to tell the truth at all times, thus morals and values are instilled.

This activity teaches the preschool child the value of honesty. These are essential life skills and need to be taught during the formative phase.

The preschool children need guidance and their visual observation, and auditory skills will be developed.

  1. Storybook: "The boy who cried wolf."
  2. Masks for Demonstration.
  3. CD and CD Player: Cedarmont Kids Classics: Preschool Songs: "Little Eyes." Traditional. "S-M-I-L-E" American Melody.

Procedure:

  • The teacher should read the children a story in which the characters get into trouble for telling a lie, for example: "The boy how cried wolf," would do for this lesson.
  • The teacher should ask the pupil what the boy character could have done differently, instead of telling a lie.
  • The teacher should encourage the pupil to participate in the discussions.
  • The teacher should discuss and give the character options of making the right choice, choosing to tell the truth, and indicate telling a lies could endanger your life,as the example in the story teach us.
  • The children will use the masks to play act the story.
  • The children should learn the song and sing it together.

    Poem: Little Eyes:

    Little eyes what you see,

    Little eyes what you see,

Up above is looking down in love,

    Little eyes what you see.

Little ears what you hear ...

Little tongue what you say ...

Little hands what you do ...

Little feet where you go ...

Little heart whom you trust ...

Little mind what you think ...

    S-M-I-L-E: American Melody:

It isn't any trouble just to S-M-I-L-E, 2X

So smile when you're in trouble,

It will vanish like a bubble,

If you'll only take the trouble just to S-M-I-L-E.
    Repeat.
