Spring Activity Preschool



Preschool Spring Activity:


May is Spring Time in the Northern Hemisphere! The preschoolers will learn all about the changes in nature during the Spring activity, and will enjoy all the excitement surrounding Spring!

Spring heralds the beginning of summer after a long cold winter!

Sensory stimulation occurs during the Spring activity.
Materials Needed for the Activity:

  1. spring-is-here

  2. Color Cardboard Sheets.

  3. Materials for Decoration.

  4. Black Marker Pen.

  5. Glue and Scissors.

  6. Old Magazines.

  7. CD and CD Player: Cedarmont Kids Classics: Preschool Songs. The Birdies in the Treetops: (Psalm 104:12 Traditional)


Procedure:

  • The teacher should explain to the children, why changes in the seasons occur and to observe to the differences in each season.

  • The teacher should explain the four different seasons, each occurs during a specific time each year.

  • The teacher should take the children on a class outing to observe nature and observe the new changes in nature.


  • When retuning to class the teacher should let the children share their findings and observations with each other.

  • The teacher should point out, during the Spring season new life is visible! The blossoms on the trees bloom, the Spring buds appear, and Spring time is known for baby animals to be born.

  • The teacher should trace a circle on a sheet of colored cardboard, using a black marker pen, and dived the circle into four quarters.

  • The children will be asked to decorate the four quarters with materials and pictures, clearly indicating the spring time activities.

  • For example, one quarter should be allocated for the new born animals.

  • The second quarter should be allocated for the plants, trees, blossoms and grass.

  • The third quarter should be allocated for the clothes they will wear during spring time, and the fourth quarter will indicate the activities preschool children enjoy doing during spring time, for example, flying kites, making flags, and having a picnic.

  • The children should learn the lovely song and sing it together!



Song: The Birdies in the Tree Tops:

The birdies in the Treetops sing their song.

The angels chant the chorus all day long,

The flowers in the garden blend their hue.

So why shouldn't I, why should'nt you praise Him too?
