Space Activity Preschool


Space Activity For Preschool:

  • The space activity for preschool will provide the children with a creative, enjoyable learning activity.
    The preschool children will develop their fine motor - and, their visual observation skills. Enjoy!

    Making a Solar System Mobile:

    Materials needed for the Activity:

    1. Colored Paint and Paintbrushes.
    2. Polysterene Balls in Different Sizes.
    3. Scissors.
    4. Rods and Connectors.
    5. Thread, cut in 50cm Pieces.
    6. Double-Sided Sticky Tape.

    Procedure:


    • Use the largest ball for the sun.
    • Draw a flame effect, big enough to fit around the circle, and cut out the center, and around the edges of the flames.
    • Paint all the balls in bright colors, and set aside to dry.


    • Paint the flames in a bright color, and set aside to dry.
    • Push the cardboard flames over the sun, fitting firmly around the center of the sun.
    • Make the rest of the Planets in the same way!
    • Stick the thread to the balls.
    • Join the rods together, and cross them in the middle.
    • Attach the sun to the middle, where the rods cross one another.
    • Attach the rest of the planets to the length of the rods.
    • Your model of the solar system is ready to be hung up!

      1. The Sun is the biggest star in the solar system.
      2. Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun.


      3. Next, Venus is boiling hot, and the same size as the Earth.
      4. Then, Earth is the third planet from the Sun.
      5. The Moon orbits the Earth.
      6. Next, Mars is red, and half the size of the Earth.
      7. Next, Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system.
      8. Then, Saturn is the second largest planet.
      9. Uranus follows Saturn.
      10. Neptune follows Saturn.
      11. Pluto is the smallest planet in the solar system, and the farthest from the Sun.
