Effective Preschool Holiday Activities Preschool Halloween Activities
The Halloween activities for preschool children will provide them with stimulating, enjoyable activities, developing their perceptual skills such as fine motor muscle development, eye-hand-co-ordination and provide the children with lots of opportunities to develop their creativity, at the same time!
Activity 1: Creating "Fussy" Spiders - 8 Black Pipe Cleaners.
- 1 Sheet of Black Construction Paper.
- 2 White Circles for the Eyes.
- Scissors and Glue.

Procedure: - The children will trace a spider body shape onto the black construction paper, as well as the head. Cut out the body and head and place aside.
- Place, and glue the 2 white eyes on the head.
- Let the head - and body parts overlap, and glue together.
- Bend and shape the 8 pipe cleaners to look like legs. Glue the legs, 4 at each side, to the body.
- Let the spiders stand up on their legs.
Activity 2: Creating A Glittering Wand:Materials Needed for the Activity: - 18 inch Wooden Dowel.
- Poster Paint and Paintbrushes.
- Cardboard.
- Star Stencil.
- Silver Glitter.
- Glue and Scissors.

Procedure:- Trace the star shape onto the cardboard.
- Cover the star with glue and sprinkle silver glitter all over the star!
- Paint the wooden dowel with black poster paint and set aside to dry.
- Glue the silver star to the tip of the wand.
- The wooden dowel could be sprinkled with glitter, after spreading a thin layer of glue on the dowel.
Activity 3: Halloween Witch Card: Materials Needed for the Activity:
- Colored Construction Paper.(4 Colors.)
- Black Chunky Wool.
- Pencils for Tracing the Shapes onto the Construction Paper.
- Circle and Triangle Shapes to Trace.(1 Big Yellow Circle, 1 Small White Circle, 1 Small Black Triangle, 1 Big Black Triangle.)
- Scissors And Glue.

Procedure: - Fold the red, orange, or green construction paper in half, creating a card.
- Trace a big circle in yellow, to place in the middle of the card. Cut the circle out and glue it onto the card.
- Trace a big black triangle for the body, and cut out.
- Trace a small black triangle for the hat, and cut out.
- Place the different parts onto card, forming the witch, on top of the yellow circle for the moon, and when in position, glue it onto the card.
- Glue the black chunky wool, serving as hair, onto the sides of the witched's head, placing the tips underneath the hat.
- Draw the witched's face, on the white circle, using the black marker pens.
- Fold the card open, and trace your name on the inside of the card, using the black marker pens.
