Preschool Activities on Rainbow:
The preschool activities on the rainbow will be enjoyed by all the children! Children are inquisitive by nature and love participating in rainbow activities.

The preschool children will develop their fine motor - and visual observation skills when participating in the rainbow activities.

A rainbow has seven colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.

The teacher can teach or read a poem on rain or a rainbow to the children, stimulating their auditory - and oral skills. Enjoy!

Materials Needed for the Activities:

2. Chunky Wool, in a Bold Color. (Cut in 20 cm Strips.)
3. Cardboard Paper.
4. Clear Glue.
5. Paint in the Seven Colors of the Rainbow.
6. Paintbrushes.
7. Poem or Story Book on a Rainbow.

Procedure:

• Place the seven strips of chunky wool in the shape of a rainbow on the cardboard paper, with five centimeter spaces in between each strip of wool.
• Glue the strips onto the cardboard paper.



• Paint the spaces in between the wool strips with the paint, using the seven colors of the rainbow; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
• Place the paper aside and wait for it to dry.
• The teacher can read or teach a poem on rain or a rainbow, which appear after a rain storm.

Poem: Make it Rain:

• Group 1: Rain, rain come today.
• It is hot - too hot to play.
• Please rain, come today.


• Group 2: Drip-drop, drip-drop,
• Rain drops drip-drop.
• Rain, drop drip-drop, please!



• Group 3: Lightning cracks,
• Lightning crackles,
• Lightning strikes,
• Strikes like a knife.
• Thunder rumbles,
• Thunder grumbles,
• Thunder bangs and clangs like a gong.


• Group 4: Whoo-whoo! Wind, we're calling you-ooo!
• Wind, whoo-whoo! We're calling you-oo-oo!


• Group 5: We hear the rain: drip-drop, drip-drop!
• We hear the hail stones: blip-blop, blip-blop!
• We hear the wind: whoo-whoo-whooooo!
• We hear the storm! The storm has come.
• Listen! The storm has come.
