Number Activity Preschool
Number Activity Preschool: Preschool number activities provide the children with creative learning opportunities, as well as opportunities to develop their perceptual skills.
Preschool children will learn to calculate and document data over a period of time, and keep record of their observations. This activity is a practical introduction to number graphs. Preschool children will implement and develop their visual memory and their fine motor skills. Materials needed for the Activities: - Empty Match Boxes.
- Paint and Paint brushes.

Procedure:- The teacher will indicate in a practical demonstration activity how a simple block graph is constructed.
- The teacher will divide the past month into four weeks.
- Each week will be represented by a color, for example week 1: red, week 2: yellow, week 3: blue, and week 4: green.
- The teacher would have instructed them to record the amount of library books they have taken out over the past month, and how many books per week.
- The teacher will now stack the painted match boxes according to color and numbers, on top of one another.
- The children will count how many match boxes are stacked upon one another per week.
- This will indicate to them how many books have been read during the past month, week by week.
- The teacher will give them an opportunity to paint their own match boxes and stack their own colored block graphs.
- Preschool children will be able to calculate how many library books they have taken out during the previous month.
