Preschool Music Class Activities:
Preschool children are known to love and enjoy music and musical activities such as the singing of songs.
The children will expand their vocabulary during the activity, as well as learn a new song to sing together, thus sitmulating their cognitive senses, and develop their auditory perception during the activity. Materials Needed for the Activity: - classroom-songs-rhymes-and-cheers
- Sheet of Music for Demonstration.
- CD Player and Song: Recommended CD:Cedarmont Kids Classics:Silly Songs: The Bear Went Over The Mountain.
- Bear Masks.
- Sing and Dance Orchestra Keyboard

Procedure: - The teacher will introduce a music sheet to the preschool children.
- The teacher should explain to the children that music is written with notes not words, and each notes represents a sound.
- The sound could be high or low sound, depending where the note lies on the notebar.
- The teacher should ask the children to "sound" high notes, and them low notes.
- The children will learn, the human singing voice can be a high voice, which is refered to as a soprano, or a low voice which is refered to as an altralto voice.
- The teacher will indicate the different rhythms, different songs have. The rhythm or beat, could be lively, slow or very fast.
- The teacher will complete the auditory worksheet with the children.
- The children will learn the song: A Bear went over the Mountain. They will sing together and wear the bear masks.
Auditory worksheet:- When one sings without words, for example, la, la, la, it is called ....................... (humming.)
- When music "sound" are written down it is called ...............(notes.)
- Men has ........ (lower) singing voices and woman can sing .......... (higher) notes.
- A low singing voice is called ............... (alt) and a high singing voice is called a ...........(soprano.)
- The children will be asked to sing: The Bear went over the Mountain using la, la, la, instead of the words,but to the tune.
- They will complete the opposites in the following sentences:
