Effective Preschool Holiday Activities - Father's Day Activities
A Fathers Day Tie:
The children will enjoy creating a gift for their fathers for the special occasion: Fathers Day!
They will develop their fine motor skills creating an object from folding paper. Materials needed for the Activity: - Square Colored Construction Paper.
- Black Marker Pen for Decorating.
Procedure: - The children will start the activity by folding the square in a triangle, from the bottom corner to opposite top corner.
- Next, they will fold the triangles open, to fold each triangle once again, creating four triangles.
- The children should then fold the two outside triangles to the inside and glue the two triangles together at the back. This will create the shape for the tie.
- They will lastly fold the tip of the sharp end of the tie to the back.(This will serve as the top of the tie.)
- The children will then turn the tie over, and start decorating the tie, adding stripes, squares, or patterns.
- The highlight of the activity will be presenting the gift to their fathers!
