Effective Preschool Holiday Activities Halloween Activities Preschool
The preschool children will enjoy the simple, creative, yet make able Halloween activities. The children will experience success, and therefore enhance their self confidence. The children will stimulate their fine motor muscles as well as their visual observation skills, completing the activities.
Activity 1: Creating a Wizard Hat. Materials Needed for the Activity: - halloween-costume
 - Black Paper.
- Pencil and Drawing Pin.
- String.
- Scissors.
- Silver or Gold Colored Glitter.
- Clear Glue.
- Star -, Half Moon -, or Planet Shaped Stencils.
- Statelier and Staples.

Procedure: - Mark the Centre of the black paper with a pencil.
- Tie the string to the pencil and pin the other end of the string to the Centrex of paper with a drawing pin.
- Hold the pin in place with your thumb, keeping the string taut, draw a half circle. Cut out the shape.
- Form a cone shape with the paper, try it on for size, and staple the sides together.
- Trace the star -, half moon -, or planet shapes, using the stencils, onto the paper hats.
- Spread glue over the shapes, and sprinkle with silver or gold colored glitter.
- Let it dry, then cut it out, glue the shapes all over the hats.
- For the final touch let the children wear a black cloak with their wizard hats! Enjoy!
Activity 2: Simple Halloween Masks:Materials Needed for the Activity: - halloween-masks
 - Paper Plates.
- Black Marker Pen.
- Scissors and Clear Glue.
- Elastic Cord.
- Paint and Paintbrushes.
- Paper Punch.
- Materials for Decoration.

Procedure: - The children can choose to decorate their paper plates, drawing skulls, pumpkin faces, witch's cat or scary monster faces, using their black marker pens.
- The children should paint and decorate their masks, and set them aside to dry.
- Punch holes at the sides of the plate, and thread the elastic cord through. Knot the ends at each side, after measuring the child's head.
- Add extra decorations, for instance whiskers for the cat, extra large yellow teeth for the pumpkin face, or big black eyes, nostrils and teeth for the skull face.

Activity 3: Trick or Treat Fun Box:
Materials Needed for the Activity: - halloween-goodies
 - Small Cardboard Box.
- Black Paint and Paintbrushes.
- Black Cardboard.
- White Paper.
- Pencils.
- Scissors and Clear Glue.

Procedure: - Paint the small cardboard box black, and let it dry.
- Draw a face of a witch on the white paper, using the pencils, when satisfied, outline the picture with a black marker pen.
- Cut out the witch face, and glue it onto the black cardboard box.
- Draw a hat on the black cardboard, cut it out, and glue it onto the witch's head.
- Place Halloween treats inside the box and give it to a special friend!
