Choose a den, for instance the trunk of a tree or a wall. All the children should assemble at the den. The children draw lots to help them decide who will be the first seeker, that is to say, the child that will seek the other children when they hide from him or her.

The seeker will close his or her eyes, and count up to 50. All the other children will hide from the seeker. When reaching the count of 50, the seeker will let the children know he or she will start seeking them. When the seeker finds a child he or she should run back to the den, touch it, and shout out:"Paul is out!" "Paul" will be the next seeker.

"Paul" should try and out run the seeker, and if "Paul" should reach the den first, he can free himself, from being the next seeker.

The other children can run to the den and free themselves, if they are sure they will reach the den before the seeker does. They do not have to wait until the seeker has found them.

If the seeker do not find any children he or she will be the next seeker again!

Choose two children who will be the leaders, and line up the other children. The two leaders will decide which one of them will be a golden orange, and which one of them will be a golden lemon.

The two children will join hands, and form an arch in the air. The other children walk in single file under the arch, singing:

Oranges and Lemons:

Oranges and lemons

Say the bells of St.Clement's.

You owe me a farthing,

When will you pay me?

Tomorrow or the next day.

Here comes a candle to light you to bed,

Here comes a chopper to chop off your head.

Chop, chop, chop, .........

The child who is under the arch when they sing the words: "chop, chop, chop ..." will be caught by the two leaders, simply by dropping their arms.

That child should choose being a golden orange or a golden lemon. The child will then stand behind the leader he or she chose.

When all the children have been caught, and chose a leader to stand behind, they will draw a line on the ground, the leaders should hold hands, and the other children should hold one another around their waists, and pull hard like in a tug of war. The team who pull the other team across the line, will be the winning team.
