Effective Preschool Art Activities Snow Art Activities
Creating a Festive Snowman:
The children will develop their fine motor skills when completing the snowman, at the same time stimulating their creativity and enjoy themselves!
Activity 1:
Materials Needed for the Activity:   - Salt Dough Clay.
- Paint and Paintbrushes.
- Black Marker Pen.
- Beads for Eyes.
- Materials for Decorations.

Procedure: - The children should knead the dough and them roll it into balls, using a circular movement when placing the clay in their hand palms.
- The bigger ball should serve as the body, and the smaller ball should serve as the snowman's head.
- The children should use the two beads for the snowman's eyes, and draw the other features, using the black marker pen.
- The children can decide to wrap a scarf around the snowman's neck.
- They can create a hat for the snowman, using left over salt dough. Enjoy!
Activity 2: Preschool Penguin Activity:
Materials Needed for the Activity:- White Cardboard Paper.
- Pencils.
- Scissors and Glue.
- Stapler and Staples.
- Sheet of Black Cardboard Paper.
- Black Marker Pen.
- Sheet of Yellow- or Orange Cardboard Paper.
- 2 Black Beads for Eyes.
Procedure:
- Draw a half circle on the white cardboard paper, using a stencil or a plate.
- Cut out the half circle.
- Shape the half circle into a cone.
- Staple the sides together.
- Draw the wings on the black paper, and cut it out.
- Glue the wings to the sides of the penguin.
- Glue on the black beads for the eyes.
- Draw the beck and feet onto the yellow paper, and cut it out.
- Glue the beak and feet on.
- Use the black marker pen for additional markings.
- Have an exibition with all the creative, colorful snowmen and penquins you have made!
