Effective Preschool Art Activities Bubble Paint Activities
Preschool Bubble Paint Activities 1: Bubble painting activities will present the children with a lot of fun! This is a new, and fun way for them to do art. All painting activities are messy, it is advised that thechildren should wear aprons. Painting activities presents preschool children with opportunities to: express their feelings, to experiment with color,shades and tones, and at the same time developing their fine motor skills and creativity. For bubble painting, the consistency of the paint needs to be runny! Materials needed for the Activity:
- Children's Bubble Bath or Washing Up Liquid Soap.
- Water Paints.
- Paper.(Non absorbent paper works best.)
- Straws.
- Container (for mixing the bubble paint.)

Procedure: - Take some paint and add a small amount of water, and place it into a bowl. Add the bubble bath and froth up the paint and the water till the paint is bubbling.
- Have the children place a piece of paper over the bubbles, to create a bubbly print onto the paper.
- Keep frothing up the bubbles by blowing into the paint, with a straw.
Activity 2:For bubble painting the consistency of the paint needs to be runny! Materials needed for the activity: - Colored Paint.
- Paper. (Non absorbent paper works best.)
- Plastic Straws.
Procedure:- The children will suck the runny paint up with their straws, and blow it in different directions, onto the paper, creating patterns.
- They could use one color and add white for different tones, or they could use different colors.
- Repeat several times with different colors of paint.
- The children will enjoy the simple painting activity!
- When using black paint, the preschool children could create spiders! Enjoy!
Activity 3:Creating Blot Pictures! This is another very simple painting activity, but still provides the children with a lot of enjoyment. Materials needed for the Activity: - Paint. (Runny, two colors.)
- Paper.
- Black Marker Pens.
Procedure:- They should drip the paint, both colors on their white paper.
- The children will then fold the paper in half, and smooth all over.
- Open out and see what interesting picture you have created.
- For extra effect, they can out line their creations with a black marker pen.
Variation on Blob Painting:
- Drop a few blobs of runny paint onto a piece of paper and tilt it to form rivulets.
- Alternatively, blow the paint over the paper with a straw.
Activity 4:
Creating Magic Pictures Activity 1: This simple activity provides the children with a lot of fun, they love the mystery surrounding the activity.
Materials needed for the Activity: - Wax Candles.
- Colored Paint and Paintbrushes.
- Paper.
Procedure: - The children should use the candles to draw a picture on the paper.
- Next, the preschoolers should use the colored paint and paintbrushes to paint over the candle drawings.
- Your pictures will appear like magic! Have fun!
Magic Painting Activity 2:
The preschool children will enjoy the simple painting activities tremendously! At the same time develop their social skills, participating in group activities, and their fine motor skills.
Ingredients:
- Water in a Bowl.
- Presstick.
- Colorful Pictures from Magazines.
- Cardboard Paper.
- White Tissue Paper.
- Big Paint Brush.
Procedure:
- Find some colorful pictures in old magazines, and cut them out.
- Stick the pictures, using the presstick onto the cardboard.
- Cover the picture with the white tissue paper.
- Paint water over the tissue paper with the big paint brush.
- Watch as the colorful picture appear!
