Activities to Build Social Skills Preschool

Activities Build Social Skills

Activities to build preschool children's social skills will provide the children with enjoyable activities; improving their general knowledge, and their ability to participate socially, working and planning together.

  • Their creative skills and auditory skills will be developed at the same time!

Group activities are faring high on the list of building social skills. During these activities the children haveto work and plan together, thus building their social skills.

This provides an opportunity for different personalities to interact, plan and work together. Preschool children will learn the skills of compromise and sharing, while building their social skills.

A poem, or play activity is an ideal group activity for the children to participate in.

The teacher could also incorporate the development and stimulation of a wide variety of oral and auditoryskills during the poem or play activities.

The teacher should teach all the children the poem, and then let different groups of children have an opportunity to perform the poem.

The teacher can use masks, and let the children act the poem as a little play!
